Welcome to Sakha! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sakha mobile application (“the App”), operated by Margadeshaka (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
By downloading, installing, or using Sakha, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App — no hard feelings.
1. What Sakha Is
Sakha is an AI wellness companion — a private, judgment-free space to talk through whatever is on your mind. It listens, reflects, and gets to know you over time. Sakha is built around being present, not prescribing solutions.
In simple terms: Sakha is a friend who actually listens — not a doctor, therapist, or fortune-teller.
2. Not Professional Advice
Sakha is NOT a substitute for professional advice of any kind.
- Not medical advice. Sakha cannot diagnose, treat, or manage any medical condition
- Not counseling. Sakha is an AI companion, not a licensed therapist
- Not financial or legal advice. Don't make major life decisions based solely on Sakha's insights
- For personal reflection only. Sakha's insights are provided for self-reflection and personal growth, not as definitive guidance or predictions

4. Your Account
- You may create an account using email/password or Google Sign-In
- You must provide accurate information — especially birth details
- You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to use Sakha
- You can delete your account at any time through Settings or by emailing us
5. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate birth data
- Use the App respectfully — no abusive or threatening messages
- Don't attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or overwhelm our systems
- Don't impersonate others
- Comply with applicable laws
6. Intellectual Property
Sakha, the Margadeshaka brand, logos, design, AI prompts, and all associated intellectual property belong to Margadeshaka. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You retain ownership of your personal data and content.
7. AI-Generated Content
- AI responses are probabilistic — they may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete
- Insights from Sakha are meant for personal reflection, not as definitive guidance
- Do not rely on Sakha's responses as the sole basis for significant decisions
8. Limitation of Liability
Sakha is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sakha. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Pricing
Sakha is currently free to download and use. We may introduce paid features in the future, with advance notice.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Before pursuing formal legal action, we encourage you to contact us — we'd much rather resolve things amicably.

Sakha (सखा) means “Friend” in Sanskrit. A good friend is honest about expectations — these Terms are our way of being upfront with you.
